Absolutely precious, in perfectly kept condition, from a private collection - an authentic Monies necklace of polished horn beads.  

This Gerda Lynggaard Brown Horn Bead Necklace is an absolute statement! It has 8 rows of beads from natural horn, graduated in size and graded in tone - from light to dark brown.

The necklace has never been mended - condition is original. It has a branded clasp of that of a dark horn. The necklace is not marked, which is typical, for 1970-1980 period. Acquires an original paper label.

Ideally, it looks amazing on a woman of short stature and complexion.

The legendary house of jewelry, Monies, was created in the 1970s by Gerda Linggaard and her husband Nikolai Monis. In its 40-year history, Monies have done jewellery collections for fashion houses such as Donna Karen, Christian Lacroix and Chanel. In the beginning of 2000 the house Monies was sold.
